Hi, Everyone,
Are there any readers of Quilting Arts magazine out there? If you saw the stack at my house, you'd think I had them all, but no...
There's an article in the June/July 2009 issue (white cover background, with blue flowers with big orange centers) I'd like to read. If you have a copy of that issue and are coming to Embroidery Club on March 13th, would you bring it so I can take a look?
I promise to give it right back!
Thanks much,
Rebecca

Hello everyone
Not feeling so well this week so I decided to stop by the clinic on my way to work. Was not quite as simple as I thought. What I thought was a simple head cold turned into pneunomia so sad to say I am home for the remainder of the week. Don't let Karen and Martha get to bored so go on down and keep them company. Hope to back full strength next week. See ya then.

Coming Soon...

Hi, Everybody,
I'm getting excited and thought I'd post quickly: my new book, Redwork from The WORKBASKET, should be available by the end of next month! Karen says I can hang projects from the book in the store, so be looking for those in February. And Karen's promising a Coming Out (as in, my book's coming out) party in conjunction with March's Embroidery Club. Hope to see you all there!

We ask and you came thru!!!
Thanks to everyone that brought in blankets for the Kidney Foundation. We ran the promotion for 30 days and got an excellent responce. Maggie picked up the blankets on Tuesday to deliver and we had a total of 51. But I understand that some people that were snowed in delived some to the store on Wednesday so that will drive the number on up. You can see by the picture we had a mountain of blankets. Thanks for rising to the call and coming thru on this special need.

Great TIME!!!
If you missed Embroidery Club and PE Design Club on Saturday you missed a great time. There were about 40 friends that showed up and it really warmed the store up having all those warm bodies inside. The snow and ice want keep some away. Yayyyyy!! We had a great program starting the year off with information about stablizer. Then Martha finished up the club with her PE Design class. We have classes most everyday so come on out and lets get those machines humming. We had a couple of new people at the club and I think maybe they liked us enough they will come back. I sure hope so.
Just a little heads up. There is going to be a awsum special running on the PR650 you know the big machine that everybody dreams about, it starts on January 20th and one of the perks is that good old 24 months same as cash financing. Now if you are interested get on in and lets talk and reserve a machine for you. I have a couple in stock and that way you will be ready when the promotion starts. Also the end of February we are going to have a all day class for the PR 650 so get your name on one quick.
If you responded to the call for blankets for the Kidney Foundation I don't have the number count but I have 2 big boxes to deliver.THANK YOU
If you responded to the call for the used towels for the William-Young Animal Shelter we have filled about 3 boxes for them. This will be ongoing. But the Kidney Foundation we are finished with that project.
Also if you have not heard we are going to do pillowcases again this year for different charities. This time if you want to donate fabric from your stash we will be taking that also. We want to start in the summer making the pillowcases. Remember in Nov we done about 92. Childrens Hospital was very excited to get theres and they received the most of them.
Stay warm and safe in your driving.

Come on by the store
Hey folks. We missed the snow this time. Thank goodness.
We have several things to get out to everyone. If you were at Embroidery Club you will remember me telling you that we were going to collect blankets for the Kidney Foundation. I have gotten several in but could use more. Remember to get those into the store by at least the second Saturday in January. I have the box right at the front to drop the blankets in.
Our second request is from Ronda that does a lot of charity work for the animal rescue group in Knoxville. Today she was in the store and said that the William-Young Animal Shelter in Knoxville had put out a plea for used towel to use to give the puppies a bath. Now is a good time to clean out the linen closet and donate some of those worn towels for the puppies at the shelter. I know I have several. Just bring in clean towels and I will start a box for the cause. Rhonda will pick up and deliver to the shelter.
Don't forget we still have machines that need to find a good home before the first of the year. Come on in and lets trade. I can always use good used machines.
If we don't see you before we want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ,stay safe and warm and if traveling for the holidays be safe and hurry back to see us. From all at MidSouth's Best Sewing.
